The 3k Time Trials

The final time trial was held on November 23rd. The turnout was good due to a decision to count it as a race in the Grand Prix Series. That meant that in addition to runners trying to qualify for a 2024 Super Athlete Ring, we had several runners trying to qualify as finishers in the Grand Prix Series.

Here’s the situation facing some of the potential last minute Series finishers. With only 3 races left on the 2024 schedule, here are the last minute qualifiers.

Nick Bailey needs two more races, but unfortunately is injured and doubtful.
Dennis Zaborac needs two more races and plans to do two of the last three.
Joe Elcock needs one more race to qualify. Signed up for Dale Hall 3k
Phil Sturholm needs one more race to qualify.
Mike Magnussen needs 2 more races to qualify. Signed up for Dale Hall 3k
Molly Childs needs 2 more races to qualify.
Barbara Prine needs 1 more race to qualify. Signed up for Dale Hall 3k
Marsha Murray needs 2 more races to qualify.
Tiare Bailey needs 1 more races to qualify. Signed up for Dale Hall 3k
Beverly Luxon needs 1 more race to qualify
Ladius Wolfe needs 1 more race to qualify. Christmas Rush and Renton 5k remain.

We have never had this many last minute Series finishers before. Good luck, I hope you all make it.

As far as the runners doing the time trial to qualify for Super Athlete status, we have the following:
Steve Heaps needs a Top IO time for the 10k to qualify.
Dennis Zaborac needs a Top IO time for 10k to qualify. He plans to do the Christmas Rush 10k.
John Moore needs a Top IO 3k time to qualify. Only the Dale Hall 3k remains.
Deborah Fletcher needs a Top IO time for the 10k to qualify.
Lizzie Lee needs a Top IO time for 3k to Qualify. Only the Dale Hall 3k remains.
Edythe Hulet needs a Top IO time for the 10k to qualify.
Barbara Prine, Louise Mihay, Nancy Larsen and Sandra Madden, all need a Half Marathon Top IO time.

By doing the time trial, David Crawford became the latest super Athlete qualifier.
