Rankings are based on the fastest performances on road or trail courses that are  USATF or Silver Strider certified. Track times are not considered.

XXXXXXXXXXX SUPER ATHLETES

If you are in the TOP IO at all 4 distances, you will be qualified for Super Athlete status. If you are between 50 and 64, on December 31, 2026, and ranked in the TOP IO at all four designated distances, you will  receive the Super Athletes Ring for 2026. The four distances are, 5k, 10k, Half Marathon and Marathon.
If you are 65 to 99, your four distances are 5k, 8k, 10k and Half Marathon. For those who change age groups during the year, it’s okay to be ranked in different age groups as long as you are ranked at all four distances.

We had 12 “Super Athletes ” for 2025. The program was discontinued in 2020 and 2021 for lack of sponsorship. The program was resumed in 2023 and continues.

            …..  The Silver Strider 5k State Championship

The Silver Strider 5k State Championship offers the top runners in each age group, in the State of Washington, a chance to compete head to head, on the same course, under the same conditions. The 2026 5k Championship will be held at The Kent Cornucopia 5k.

The Silver Strider 8k State Championship offers the top runners in each age group, in the State of Washington, a chance to compete head to head, on the same course, under the same conditions at the 8k distance. The 2026 8k Championship will be held at the Lakefair Races in August.

 

 

 

xxxxxxxxx The Silver Strider 10k State Championship

The Silver Strider 10k State Championship offers the top runners in each age group, in the State of Washington, a chance to compete head to head, on the same course, under the same conditions at the 10k distance. The 2026 10k Championship was held at the Resolution Run in January. The 2027 10k Championship race will be held at the Christmas Rush in December 2026.

The Silver Strider 5k, 8k, 10k, Championships for 2026 will be held as follows:

The 10k Championship for 2026 was held at The Resolution 10k, January 2026.

The 5k Championship for 2026 will be held at the Kent Cornucopia 5k in July 2026.

The 8k Championship for 2026 will be held at the Lakefair 8k in late July 2026

There will be a 8k time trial held in November, 2026.
