Des Moines 5k Parkrun #290

Chris Fisher was the first Silver Strider to cross the finish line for the third time this year. His time was a sterling 21:53 for third overall. Running in his fifth series race, his winning percentage is 60% and he has won his age group four out of five for an almost perfect score of 49 points out of a possible 50.

The first Silver Strider female finisher was Debbie Officer in 28:11.

This was the 10th race of the 32 series races. Those who have finished three series races, or more, so far in 2025 are on pace to be series finishers.
We have some exciting races yet to be decided, including the elite Ambassador 3k on May 10th, the 5k Championship in Kent on July12th, the 3k Championship in Olympia on July 19th, the final ambassador 3k on October 18th and the 2026 10k Championship in Kent on December 13th.
