Ambassador 3k Three

The Silver Strider is staging three 3k races as part of the 2025 Ambassador Series. The three races will offer varying entry fees and amenities. The races will be held on the Dale Hall course at the Cushman Trail in Gig Harbor. Run or walk this fun distance and receive series points at each race.
Directions to the Cushman 3k Trailhead
Directions from Tacoma. Enter the Narrows bridge in the right lane. Changing lanes on the bridge is forbidden and you want to take the first exit which is immediate. Turn right at the end of the off ramp. Then turn left on 14th. Go past 29th St for about 2 blocks. Watch for the trailhead on the left.
Directions when approaching Gig Harbor from the north. Take Willochet off ramp and turn left. Go two blocks to the 2nd light (Kimball St.) and turn right. Follow the yellow line for about 4 miles. The street will twist and turn, changing name 4 times, but it will take you to the trailhead on 14th St. just past 32nd street on your right.

THE 3 AMBASSADOR 3K RACES.
March 29, 2025 – Ambassador 3k One
This is a no frills race for the thrifty runner. Includes timing, refreshments, and certification for Top IO and Super Athlete. Also, points in the 2025 Ambassador Series are included. A drawing for a free entry to the Rhody Run and a drawing for a $50 gift Certificate complete the amenities.
ENTRY FEE $15* – DOR $20

May 10, 2025 – Ambassador 3k Two (First results on Bulletins. Race Report to follow)
A more conventional race. Timing, post-race refreshments, certification for Top IO and Super Athlete are included. Trophies to the winner of each age group from 50 to 94, and ribbons for 2nd and 3rd.
Four drawings. Three for free entries to: 1. The Iron Horse Half Marathon. 2. The Sundae Runday 5k. 3. Run Scared 5k or 10k. The 4th drawing is for a $50 gift certificate, from Fleet Feet Sports. Ambassador Series points are included.
ENTRY FEE $30* – DOR $35

October 18 2025 – Ambassador 3k Three
More amenities are offered at this event. Timing, post-race refreshments, certification for Top IO and Super Athlete are included. A drawing for free entries to: The Tacoma Turkey Trot 5k, The Electric Cookie Run 2.6 or 5.2 mile and a drawing for a $50 gift certificate from Fleet Feet Sports. Trophies for the top 4 in each age group from 50 to 94. Ambassador Series points are included.
ENTRY FEE $40* – NO DOR – ENTRY DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 15TH
