     2026 Silver Strider Grand Prix Series

The Silver Strider Grand Prix Series has been expanded for 2026 to make it easier for more runners and walkers to reach “series finisher” status and qualify for trophies and prizes at our annual awards party in January 2027.

To be a series finisher for 2026, you need to complete 8 or more of the races listed below. You will receive points for each race as follows: 1st in your age group = 10pts., 2nd place AG = 9pts., 3rd place AG = 8pts., 4th place AG = 7pts., 5th place or lower = 6 pts.

All finishers will receive a trophy with their name on it and their finish position within their age group. Only your 8 best finishes points count, so a perfect score is 80 pts. In case of a tie in points, the participant who has completed the most races wins. If the racers tie in points and number of races, The older racer wins.

The male and female with the most races finished will win the title Mr. Grand Prix or Ms. Grand Prix. They will receive a $50 gift certificate to a local running store.

Our highest award is Silver Strider Of The Year. It goes to the person making the greatest contributions to our programs while providing inspiration to our runners and walkers. This award can only be won once. There are no repeat winners.
