The Olympia Lakefair Races are part of a weekend-long running festival that features a Half Marathon, 8K and 3K, taking runners on routes that will circle around the town of Olympia and beyond into Tumwater and Thurston Counties.
All three races started and finished on 5th Avenue in front of Heritage Park. The 3K and 8K events circled Capitol Lake, with the 8K continuing into Tumwater Historical Park before returning. Both are flat and fast courses.
The Half Marathon went along the Woodland Trial and Chehalis Western Trail biking paths. The course continued on rural streets and a short trail through Priest Point Park before heading back to the finish line at Heritage Park.
Once runners completed the course, they enjoyed a well attended awards ceremony which featured presentation of the Silver Strider Championship trophies.
