January 4th Resolution 5k and 10k

The 2025 Ambassador Series began with strong turnout at Steilacoom Park for the first in a series of 3 races designed to give runners a choice of distances. The relatively new course was in perfect shape and well marked.

One hundred and sixty-nine Runners crossed the finish line. 106 in the 5k and 63 in the 10k. The first Male Silver Strider to finish was Brian Taylor in 21:28. First female Silver Strider was 68 year old Vanessa Pearson in 29:18.

The 10k race saw Gary Petro lead male Silver Striders with a sizzling 40:04. First Female Silver Strider was Amanda Hoskins in 46:01.
