Cushman Trail Directions
Directions from Tacoma- Enter the Narrows bridge in the right lane. Changing lanes on the bridge is forbidden and you want to take the first exit which is immediate. Turn right at the end of the off ramp. Then turn left on 14th. Go past 29th St for about 2 blocks. Watch for the trailhead on the left.
Directions from North approach– Take Willochet off ramp and turn left. Go two blocks to the 2nd light (Kimball St.) and turn right. Follow the yellow line for about 4 miles. The street will twist and turn, changing it’s name 4 times, but it will take you to the trailhead on 14th St. just past 32nd street on your right.

Please accept my sincere thanks to all who sent me get well cards. It was heartwarming to see an outpouring of best wishes, camaraderie and affection aimed in my direction. My recovery is going well and I expect to participate in the Ambassador 2 race on May 10th.

When you see someone at a race wearing a Super Athlete hat, you will know they own one or more Super Athlete Rings they earned from 20016 to 2024. Click on “Super Athlete” on the menu bar for details.

There is some confusion regarding Super Athlete qualifying. Let’s make it simple.
Under 65 – 5k, 10k, Half, Marathon.
Over 65 – 3k, 5k, 10k, Half.
We will leave irrelevant distances out of the standings from now on.

From ParkRun Race Director –
Information on how to update a profile on the parkrun website, as we often get emails from Silver Striders who want to have your group name included next to their name in the results section.

If your members want to update their profile, we’re unable to do that on our end.  They will need to log on to the parkrun registration website, 

www.parkrun.com/signin

Once they sign in there is a menu of items including ‘Groups.’ Clicking on that opens a new page where you can add the running group you are part of.
